Trump Blame Game Ready If He Loses In 2020

Donald Trump doesn’t like losing, whether it’s in business or politics. And whether he wins or not, the only thing seemingly more important to him than actually winning, is the facade of being a winner. At a campaign rally in Indiana in 2018, he said “We love winners. Winners are winners.” This depicts so much of Trump’s unwavering spirit to win, no matter what!

According to a recent tweet of Trump:

“If the totally Corrupt Media was less corrupt, I would be up by 15 points in the polls based on our tremendous success with the economy, maybe Best Ever! If the Corrupt Media was actually fair, I would be up by 25 points. Nevertheless, despite the Fake News, we’re doing great!”

This has been a running theme with him becoming President: anything negative about him, according to him is “fake news” he went as far as telling people at one rally that what they see isn’t really what’s happening. In other words, are you going to believe your own eyes, or what I tell you to believe?

If there is any thread of consistency in Trump’s messaging to the Americans in the last three years, it is this—The media is corrupt, they didn’t want me to win and succeed, and they will try everything possible to ensure that outcome.

As a political psychologist, I can say that Trump has always been laying the ground to pass the blame to anyone beyond himself. Leading up to election day when he was still behind in the polls, he was sowing doubt among his followers with the notion that the “system is rigged against me folks.”

That theme is once again playing out as the new election cycle for 2020 kicks off, again telling Trump supporters — and anyone who will listen –that the “corrupt media” is trying to sabotage his efforts by lying about him.

if he loses in his 2020 re-election bid, no doubt the media will have been to blame, according to him. That he would have won easily without the mischievous plotting by the media.

A quick bit of researching videos about Donald Trump shows that he has already voiced this theme from policy decisions, comments, and actions he has taken. To be clear, there is no question that much of the coverage of Trump’s presidency has been negative. But that is more a result of Trump’s own words, twitchy Twitter finger,  policy positions, and actions, than it is of   a ‘corrupt media.’

The Worse the Situation is, The Better it is For Trump

President Donald Trump’s recent attack on the socialists is closely aligned with his recent moves on immigration and health care, which echoes Vladimir Putin, and before him, Lenin.

However, Trump and Lenin share a strategic instinct according to certain political views. Lenin mentioned that the “conditions that were more miserable for the people, were likely to help his political ambitions. Trump’s approach to immigration and health care, in the past few days and throughout his presidency, demonstrate a similar understanding of power.

About the recent steps taken By Trump

Very recently, the President announced plans to end assistance to the Northern Triangle countries of Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador. The move affects about $450 million, it also includes money to support law-enforcement efforts against gangs.

Even though the numbers are small, they don’t justify spending them per se. But, there is a strong consensus among Latin America experts that these cuts are counterproductive.

It is usual to talk about push and pull factors in immigration. Trump has strived to reduce one pull factor by trying to make it harder to get asylum. He has limited options beyond that. This is because no President wants to make the economy worse in order to deter immigration.

Trump’s decision to cut aid to countries that are major sources of immigrants to the United States seems likely to only increase the push factors as analysed by significant Political Psychology professionals. Thus, driving more people to attempt the journey as conditions in their home countries stagnate or worsen.

Many of Trump’s decision on border issues appear to have been designed not to solve any problem. This comprises Trump’s standing threat to close the border with Mexico. Also, his decision to end DACA, a program that he has said realizes goals he favors and most importantly, his decision to separate unauthorized immigrant families arriving at the border.

Separations became a costly and distracting circus, thereby, taking up already short space in detention centers. Thereafter, necessitating a major effort to reunite families and restore the status quo when courts predictably rejected the policy. And the impact of his policies have increased illegal immigration, not deterred it, as he sought to do.

On similar lines, it is more politically useful for Trump to be in a lengthy fight about building a border wall than it is to have actually built it. If and when the wall is built, it will become clear that it isn’t a panacea for immigration, rather a useful political wedge.

Conclusion:-

From the above facts, and as per strong Political views, it can be concluded that none of these are helpful to solve or reduce what Trump has called a crisis at the border. Instead, they are likely to only worsen the crisis.

Report says Trump is a habitual cheater at golf

Most of us have seen Donald Trump proudly boasting about winning 18 club championships, but is it really true? Several speculations have started surfacing after the release of a new book named Commander in Cheat: How Golf Explains Trump by the sportswriter Rick Reilly. According to the writer, Trump’s impulse to cheat is also unquestionably pertinent to golf where he ‘cheats at the highest possible level’.

Reilly claims that he cheats when people are watching and he cheats when they are not. He cheats, whether you like it or not because that’s how he plays golf. This is his style and if you are playing golf with him, he is certainly going to cheat. This shows that for Trump, the ultimate goal is victory, even if he has to opt unethical way to achieve it, but this is how he is Right?

Trump claims he has a 2.8 handicap, the sliding scale used among amateur golfers that would help them to compete with other players. Like his height, Trump’s self-reported handicap of 2.8 seems a little off. According to Jack Nicklaus, who is the winner of many 18 golf titles, one of the greatest golfers in the history of this game, Trump has a handicap of 3.4. There is a huge contradiction in both these numbers, and that number is only low because he cheats!.

Like his business life, he reportedly exaggerates certain details about his golf course achievements too. For example, his resort in Virginia, where a plaque between the 14th and 15th holes commemorates the fallen soldiers of a Civil War battle that actually never happened.

As a political psychologist, I can say cheating is probably an inherent part of his personality, which is sharply reflected in his personal and professional life. It is clearly evident that he doesn’t have a good hold game etiquette, neither does he seem to care about it. In his ambition to build a great rapport with Americans, he shouldn’t resort to such unethical practices. He should, in contrast, refrain from raising controversial issues like the border wall. He should step out of his self-centered horizon and focus on building policies that can benefit all.

The Democrats and Mueller Probe

Democrats competing for the White House prefer to talk about anything rather than Robert Mueller’s Russia probe. However, the 2020 race is inevitably going to keep coming back to 2016 and what the special counsel uncovered in that regard.

The candidates, campaign aides and consultants are already plotting how to publicly address the scandal that has consumed Donald Trump presidency. They know the campaign that gets it right could break free from the chaotic 2020 pack.

The Democratic hopefuls in the early primary and caucus states are already facing smoldering outrage about Trump’s possible ties to Russia for a 2020 campaign. The Mueller report was delivered to attorney Bill Barr, who in turn issued a four page summary to congress stating that the Mueller report says Trump did not conspire with Russia. For Trump supporters it was music to their ears, and the chance to say “I told you so!”  Critics find the language in the four page summary suspect and want to see the entire report.

2020 presidential candidates find themselves on uneven ground. Most of the Democrate candidates running to take on President Trump have — for the most part — avoided the Mueller probe. Instead, the candidates have used their significant media moments to introduce themselves with optimistic narratives.

Challenge Related To the Probe

A huge challenge referred to by different professionals about Mueller — as it relates to Political Psychology —  is the ambiguity and secrecy surrounding his investigations. Through all the court trials, including team Trump players like Paul Manafort, Rick Gates, and Michael Flynn, there were zero leaks; some are still awaiting sentencing.  Donald Trump associate Roger Stone is on track for his own criminal trial in the late summer or early fall in Washington, D.C.

Conclusion:-

The investigation’s inscrutability left much unanswered. Only William Barr has seen the report, and doesn’t seem to be in a hurry to share it with Congress. This leaves candidates in the same quandary as when the investigation was in motion: they don’t have anything solid to stake a position on. With the number of scandals, resignations due to wrongdoing, lying, and a yet still unclear Mueller Report, Trump finds himself during the 2020 election cycle in a comfortable place — in the middle of a reality TV show.

Why is Trump Bragging about Imaginary Calls

President Trump had been bragging that the Mexican President called him and said, “their southern border, very few people are coming because they know they’re not going to get through our border, which is the ultimate compliment.” He also mentioned that the Boy Scouts leader described his controversial speech as “greatest speech that was ever made to them” on a call with him.

Both these people in question wasted no time in calling him out for his lies. The White House then released statement in an attempt to save face. They said that the compliments were not made on call but in person. That doesn’t change the fact that Donald Trump has been a serial liar.

Dr. Bart Rossi, a political psychologist who frequently appears on TV and radio discussing USA Politics decodes Donald Trump’s thought-process, “He creates a perception and that perception becomes reality for him and he wants everyone to believe in that reality regardless of the facts and regardless of the truth.”

He adds, “To present himself as this authoritarian figure, he will basically say almost anything to get more attention [for] himself.”  But, isn’t all this flip-flop affecting his image? What do Trump supporters think of his habitual lying?

Dr. Rossi feels, “With Trump, it’s not the accuracy of what he says that’s most important to his followers.”

Unfortunately his lies doesn’t seem to be affecting his supporters, which is why — it seems” the former reality TV star just continues playing to his audience.
